Latest and Greatest!

Oh man I'm really excited about this post! For the past couple of weeks I've been feeling a sense of ennui concerning the content on my blog. The latest Jasmine set was a really dull affair for me and I think it actually shows in the set itself. Everything is so frikken monochromatic and grey that I want to vomit! So I sat down and looked at what I was doing and I realized that I am not the type of artist who is capable of hammering out set after set like clockwork. It just doesn't appeal to me considering that my computer can't handle it and I have the attention span of a squirrel wired on meth. Needless to say, production slows down to a crawl and the work ends up being well beneath my expectations.

Instead I've decided to focus on producing high quality individual images (or radically smaller sets) because I enjoy it more and I don't get bored with the content. I can't tell you how many times I've been in the middle of rendering an image and suddenly had the desire to do something completely different because I couldn't stand to look at the characters for another second. The images below are a result of my new method of devoting my time and energy to single, highly detailed images and I'm really very happy with them. I feel that they're a better reflection of my capabilities as an artist.

Also, I have to say thanks to all of you for continually visiting my blog and giving me the motivation to continue updating it. One individual who deserves special recognition is my fellow artist and friend Mongo Bongo who basically got my blog off the ground by giving it incredible free publicity on his own blog. Without his initial help I'd have a grand total of 350 visits instead of 350,000. His banner is on the right side of the page and I definitely recommend taking a look at his stuff! Epic Project!

Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of recent updates but between getting a new comp, going back to classes, and moving out of my old place I have had exactly no free time to speak of (except for Skyrim). It's only been in the last couple of days that I've been able to even begin to catch my breath. I invested a LOT of time into this single image which is a teaser for my upcoming project: Tales of Deepwood. The story will revolve around the three lovely ladies seen in the pic and will feature an actual plot rather than simple images. I also just picked up some new programs (thank god for student discounts) that should drastically improve my upcoming images; Cinema 4D and Vray. Both of which are god-tier tools for adding realism to any scene!

I haven't named any of the three characters so if you have a suitable one for one of the babes then let me know! If I choose a name you suggest, I'll even make a standalone image of the girl in question and credit you in the picture (the "Thanks Mongo" pic kind of deal). Enjoy and keep stopping by!

Back from the Dead

Hey everyone. I'd like to apologize for the lack of recent updates. School is a full time gig right now and by the time I get out of class and go through my routine all I honestly want to do is grab a beer, smoke a cig, and play some games. Fortunately, it's the fall break so for the past couple of days I've been able to put in some serious time into my "Tales of Deepwood" work. I have a feeling that it's going to turn out great!

Before I forget I have some new images of the lovely ladies that I'd like to share with you. Thanks to everyone for their name suggestions I really appreciate the input and most of the names were really imaginative and sexy. I've settled Mion for the warrior (Gracias Sumuner), and Wyx for the thief (You're the man Hobbs) but I still can't decide on a name for the lovely mage...

Update: I've just finished the custom pics for Sumuner and Hobbs. Thanks again for the great names! I still haven't named the Mage so if you can come up with a good one then I might just use it and you'll get a custom image for your trouble! Btw, I'm thinking it's about high time that I did some serious remodeling of the blog and any ideas on how to improve the overall page would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm a passably good artist but I'm hopeless in most respects with this website stuff :P
