Series in Progress!

Elana had the uneasy feeling that she was being watched. Ever since the men of the last village had stolen her clothing, attempted to rape her, and eventually chased her out of town without virtually anything to cover her supple form, she had sensed that something was pursuing her...
This is my first experience with Genesis and I'm extremely impressed. Everything you see in the picture was custom morphed (over the course of about 20 hours) using Genesis and I'm very happy with the results!

Allow me to introduce myself...

I have the pleasure of being Jomish. One of my favorite hobbies is creating 3D scenes. Another one of my favorite hobbies is sex. It's only natural that the two should eventually coincide. Enjoy the results there are more to come!

Sleep Deprivation

I am sure most of you know by now, but if you don't Sumuner is having a contest spanning many blogs.  The idea is to be the first to find an image hidden on one of our blogs, earning you the right to name the character.
You can find more info at Sumuner's blog.
I for one want to apologize for the lack of communication as of late.  I have fallen behind responding to emails and comments. as I am neck deep in finals atm.  I hardly have time to think, let alone sleep.  Its one big mess, but I am trying to work through it.  Needless to say there wont be a serious update for a while.
As you also know, I am not a fan of making posts with no eye candy in it.  So here are a couple of images I managed to complete before shit hit the fan.

The difference a year makes.

I apologize for the long gap in updates, but I am back in the saddle and I have something to show for it! The last couple weeks or so I have been really sinking my teeth into Octane.  I have had to change my work flow around to accommodate the longer render times, but I couldn't be happier with the results.  Although as fate would have it, as soon I as am happy with my current setup.  PoserPro 2014 comes out, and Daz releases its Genesis 2/Victoria 6 model. I don't have the means to upgrade at the moment, and nor I am really willing to jump into yet another learning curve, but damn the temptation!
Anyway, back to this set and the title of the post.  Below is a revamp of the Xeno's Only episode with Sylvia.  Its far more lovey dovey and less hardcore than my other work, but I wanted something close to normal for my first Octane only set. About halfway through this set I got frustrated with the bend morphs I have for my models and finally installed the Lali's bits morph (I have had it for a while now).  It took forever to get it right, and in the process I ended up re tuning Sylvia's body a bit to get the morph to fit right and look natural.  Which as some of you will notice will explain the slight change in her attire later in the set.  Sorry about that. Anyhoo I will most likely have to repeat this process for Sasha and Juli.  Everybody's getting an upgrade lol.
I also screwed around with some of my older sets to see how they would translate to octane, and I was pretty pleased.  Don't worry I am not going to redo these, I just wanted to see how they would look. There is no post work done, and the water in the Lara Croft one obviously needs work but I still thought it was neat enough to share.

Work, work

Hey all,
Apologies for the lack of communication, my summer job has been killing me, but bills gotta be paid right?
As for renders, I am still in the early learning phases with Octane, and I have been experimenting with all kinds of settings and set ups. While the quality of the renders have gone on up exponentially, so to has the render times of more complex images. So getting what I want out of the image the first time is important in avoiding 2+ hour long mistakes.
Anyway I am knee deep in two sets that I am working on and I figured I'd give you guys a bit of an update.
First off I am working on an insect themed set for Monos who has been kind enough to bounce a few ideas around with me via email  I have a wallpaper/concept here as a preview.

Alien Invasion

Its that time of the year again! In case you did not know Renderotica has been hosting its alien invasion contest this month. Being "pro alien" myself I just can't help by enter every year.

A tale of two renders

So my quest for a new rendering engine has finally ended, and I have decided to go with Octane. It cost me an arm and a leg for the plugin, the software, and the extra video card, but it was worth every penny.  VRay while faster in rendering (overall) takes an eternity to set up.  With a learning curve akin to K2, I spent hours in the material room fiddling with settings that didnt port over properly, or textures that had to be reworked.

A large part of the reason for me using poser was ease of use.  As you all know I dont have a whole lot of time.  So you can imagine how excited I was when I downloaded the Octane demo saw an immediate improvement in quality.  A few more tweaks, and I was well beyond what 2 years of poser could do.  The only issue was that it was quite an investment for a poor college student.   So I mulled it over, and after talking with my bro Gazukull I finally cracked and went for it.

I haven't been this excited since I started this hobby...

So here we have a render from one of my upcoming redo's. The one on the left is a Firefly Render, on the right Octane.  Granted the one right isnt finished yet, (still has noise in some areas) it is a definite improvement. Whats really cool (geek out time), is that there are no "lights" so to speak in this image.  Octane uses light emitters.  I targeted the light texture of the ceiling and turned it into an emitter powerful enough to light the whole room. How cool is that!?

Also the glass table in poser looks opaque and non reflective.  Where as in octane it actually looks like glass, reflects light correctly on its surface, and refracts along the edge.

Episode 03 and some other stuff

So by now you're all  probably wondering, "WTF ARE YOU DOING DIZZY ITS BEEN A MONTH!". And below is the answer, well part of it at least.  I have been working on Episode 03 with Sasha.  At first I planned on doing a a reskin of it the scene.  But I found myself a bit "giger'ed out" after the last set.  So I changed some of it up.  I rewrote the story to reflect the changes, and now you have a new and improved Episode 3.
Aside from the Sasha story I toyed with some wallpaper ideas with Sylvia.  I have always been a fan of the girls with motorcycle style pin ups.  But my ladies exist in the future and surely they would have moved onto something more advanced than wheeled vehicles right?  Well I just so happened to have picked up this wonderful Jetbike model, and it seems to do the job just fine.  I have a few SFW versions and a few NSFW below.  I might do more of these pinups from time to time, its a nice segway from large number sets.
I have also been working on finding a new render engine. Firefly has run its course for me. I am looking to increase the quality and complexity of my images, and unfortunately Firefly can no longer cut it.  So I experimented with Lux, and Octane, and Vray.  I tried using Vray before with Max but was frustrated by Max's interface (makes me want to claw my eyes out, most counter-intuitive GUI ever). But I have come back to it with a fresh pair of eyes and I am beginning to finally learn the basics. I'll be posting some before/after shots to illustrate the difference in quality in the upcoming weeks.
I managed to nag some of my code monkey friends and got them to help me with some actionscript 3 issues I was having for the game engine.  Worked out better than I imagined, most of my programming hurdles have been cleared. I am now just focusing on making content (YAY).
Here are some images of Juli for Randall, I have no idea what I am going to " do" to her yet.  Just some concept of the outfit and scene.

Below is a link to download the non set images from this post, plus Sasha's animation with Lalu that I forgot to add in the animation pack.
And finally, I have been working on some ideas for the Alien Invasion contest at Renderotica. I plan on submitting two images by the deadline, one of my own choosing, and the other a suggestion from one of you.  Now remember this is a single image contest not a set. It has to be depicting the theme of alien invasion in some way.  Also if you could, try to keep the idea simple at its core. Its often easier to build on top of an idea than it is to tear one down.  Thanks in advance!

Who is that girl

I think it goes without saying that Hentai is a huge and pervasive influence on many 3D artists, myself included. In fact I would argue that most of 3DX is more or less a derivative of the hentai style (obviously with more western cues), and that you couldn't have the former without the latter.
I know some of you wanted to know what I have been up to, and well here it is.  The lady below is my attempt to recreate the main character from one of my favorite series.  Can you guess who she is and what game she is from?
Not sure what I am going to do with her yet, but I am thinking its going to be animated.  There is enough still image fan art of her out there.

Aliens vs Ladies

Well this whole thing took me way longer than I had anticipated.  But in the end I am happy with the results of all 3 requests, even though it took me a month each to do lol.  Thank you again for being patient, this set in particular was really challenging with the multiple characters and such.  Took me a good long while to think it through, how the scenes should play out, the angles, etc.
Thank you to all who participated in sharing your ideas, always fun to get hear what other people are thinking. Also wanted to take the time to thank Mongobongo for posting an informative lighting tutorial on his blog, helped me immensely with this set. Anyhoo, enough jibba jabba you've waited long enough here is the set.
